Wonderful. I was trying to start another article but life got in the way and that it was harder to find any new information. I'll sure be keen to get anymore history.
Hi Daniel, I’m intrigued with you search database. I understand that we are related way back sometime in mid 1700’s, which is a bit of a black hole with all the record sets I have researched to date.
Could I ask a favour of you?
I am looking to locate “Field” ancestors who possibly married Ryan’s from the Limerick/Tipperary areas around the 1700s.
Could you please do a quick search on your database to see if something is there, Male Field marrying female Ryan.
I did find a few things looking around. I just noticed your other post, so I'll do another search.
The 1659 Census has:
John Feild gent of Killmacanirly, Clouncha Parish, Connlogh Barony, Limerick.
The Tipperary Hearth Money records for 1665:
Thomas Field, Cloghonan, Templederry, Tipperary.
Willm Field, Glanagh, Aghavamedill, Tipperary.
There is a "Dictionary of Irish biography : from the earliest times to the year 2002 [9 volumes], edited by James McGuire, James Quinn" which I don't have access to. It mentions: "Thomas Field (Fehily)".
Happy to help. But these are very common words in the database. It doesn't help there is a lot of sporting articles that mention "field". Do you have a full name or a townland?
We have some photos and more historical stuff to share if useful, you can email my dad JJ on fuco12345x@gmail.com

I have a Joannes Field in Fedamore Limerick married to Brigida Kennedy in 1787, I think his father was Patrick possibly married to a Catherine Ryan.
Found these mentions:
The Cromwellian Settlement of County of Limerick:
John Field & Wm. Thompson (Grantees) at Dourlass, Corcomohide and Clonecreane Parish, Limerick.
John Field & Wm. Thompson (Grantees) at Kilmiteria, Corcomohide and Clonecreane Parish, Limerick.
Paper (name not mentioned) 8/1/1832:
"DEATHS
At Bantry, of cholera, John Field, Esq. Surgeon."
In the Old Limerick Journal, the article "John Ferrar's Limerick City Dicectory - 1788" mentions:
Patrick Field owned a livery stable at the Square, Newtown Pery.
I hope that helps.

This is still a brick wall for me.
I haven’t been able find any dna links on the “Field” lineage from before this point. I do have strong Ryan and Kennedy dna links to Capamore area.

Don’t worry this spelling is correct, the surname changed for some reason when my ggf, Daniel Field, came out to Australia in 1878.
